SETTLE Method Refund Policy

Effective Date: 8 October 2026

This Refund Policy applies to products, subscriptions, services, and platform access provided by Dispute Tech Pty Ltd, trading as SETTLE Method and operating the Chasyr platform ("SETTLE Method", "Chasyr", "we", "our", or "us").

This policy should be read alongside our Terms of Business, Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy.

1. Purpose

SETTLE Method is a Payment Navigation Framework delivered through the Chasyr platform.

Our services primarily consist of:

  • software access
  • digital tools
  • workflow automation
  • record management
  • payment navigation resources
  • evidence management capabilities
  • platform subscriptions
  • implementation and onboarding services

As these are generally digital services, refunds are handled differently from physical goods.

2. Australian Consumer Law

Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

Where the ACL applies, consumers may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement, refund, compensation, or cancellation in circumstances prescribed by law.

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law.

3. Subscription Fees

Monthly Subscriptions

Monthly subscriptions are generally non-refundable once the billing period has commenced.

Subscribers may cancel at any time.

Cancellation will prevent future billing but will not normally result in a refund for the current subscription period.

Access will continue until the end of the paid billing period.

Annual Subscriptions

Annual subscriptions are generally non-refundable after commencement.

However, SETTLE Method may consider partial refunds in exceptional circumstances including:

  • duplicate payments
  • billing errors
  • platform access failures
  • circumstances required by Australian Consumer Law

Any approved refund will normally be calculated on a pro-rata basis after deduction of any services already provided.

4. Free Trials

Where a free trial is offered:

  • no refund will be available in respect of the free trial period

users are responsible for cancelling before the commencement of any paid subscription if they do not wish to continue.

5. Professional Services

Implementation, training, onboarding, advisory, workshop, configuration, or consulting services may be offered from time to time.

Unless otherwise agreed in writing:

  • completed services are non-refundable
  • partially completed projects may be eligible for a partial refund at our discretion
  • work already performed remains payable

6. Transaction Fees

Fees charged by third-party providers including:

Stripe; or

other payment providers

may not be refundable once transactions have been processed.

Any refunded transaction may be reduced by non-refundable third-party processing costs where permitted by law.

7. Platform Errors and Service Failures

If a user is unable to access the Chasyr platform due to a material failure caused by SETTLE Method, we may offer one or more of the following remedies:

  • service credits
  • subscription extensions
  • partial refunds
  • full refunds
  • other reasonable solutions

The appropriate remedy will depend on the nature, duration, and impact of the issue.

8. No Outcome-Based Refunds

SETTLE Method provides a Payment Navigation Framework and supporting technology platform.

Refunds are not available simply because:

  • an invoice remains unpaid
  • a negotiation was unsuccessful
  • a settlement was not reached
  • a dispute was not resolved
  • a payment was not recovered
  • legal action was unsuccessful
  • a commercial outcome was not achieved

SETTLE Method does not guarantee commercial outcomes.

9. User Error

Refunds will generally not be provided where issues result from:

  • incorrect data entered by the user
  • user configuration errors
  • failure to follow platform guidance
  • failure to maintain account security
  • misuse of the platform
  • breaches of our Terms of Business or Acceptable Use Policy

10. Account Suspension or Termination

No refund will normally be payable if an account is suspended or terminated due to:

  • unlawful conduct
  • misuse of the platform
  • fraudulent activity
  • breaches of our Acceptable Use Policy
  • breaches of our Terms of Business

11. Duplicate Payments

If a customer is charged more than once for the same service due to a billing or processing error, the duplicate amount will be refunded promptly after verification.

12. How to Request a Refund

Refund requests should be submitted in writing and include:

  • account details
  • invoice or transaction information
  • description of the issue
  • supporting documentation where relevant

Requests should be sent to:

13. Assessment of Requests

We will assess refund requests fairly and reasonably having regard to:

  • Australian Consumer Law
